How Much Life Insurance Do I Need?
Deciding whether you need life insurance is quite easy. Deciding
how much life cover you need is slightly harder. A simple rule
of thumb is to take out cover equalling a figure of ten times
your annual salary. Clearly this method is very simple. A better
way to assess your own life insurance need is to consider likely
expenses that your loved ones would face after your death. eg:
Paying Off Mortgages, loans and other financial commitments,
Replacing ongoing lost income, emergency funds, children’s
education / university costs. Your age will have a huge bearing
on the lost income to be replaced. We therefore find that the
highest level of life cover are for those clients with young
dependent children and spouse. Of course circumstances may
change but it's wise to choose a level of cover that will give
the survivors as much breathing space as possible.

The length of time that
you will require insurance for depends upon your own personal
